Annual Report (Norway, 2002)

The SWYAA NORWAY was established after the return of SWY8 in 1996. We are 21 members. The organisation is a network organised through an e-mail list. Siri Johnsen is keyperson, and Peter Gjefle is second e-mail receiver.

Main activities:
Our main activities are informal meetings and discussions through the e-mail list. Some of the members take part in discussions on the swy-net@yahoogroups.com list. In addition to this list we have two separate e-mail lists for ex-participants of SWY8 and SWY12.

We have put up and e-mail for the homestay network and will help ex-pys who comes to Norway for a visit.

After the participation of REN2001 we have expanded our network of friends around the world, and we really appreciate this. We wanted to have an informal reunion in Stockholm in 2002, but unfortunately we were not able to make this happen. We will try to follow up this plan in 2003. The informal reunion will be for EX-PYs of REN2001, The Ship for world youth and Ship for South East Asian youth.

We really appreciate being part of this network and staying in touch with the IYEO, and we were really happy about being invited to the REN2001 programme.
