Norwegian/Seychellois SWY 16 reunion Down Under

In early December I crossed Australia, bound for Perth, to see more of the fantastic country I study in. Fortunately I had the time and opportunity to meet up with Jean-Paul (JP) from the Seychellois delegation on SWY 16. JP and myself had not met since the ship and we had a great time visiting downtown Perth with JP's friend Esther, also from the Seychelles, who studies in New Zealand.

In January we met again when JP and his friends Esther, Jens, and Anoushka (from Mauritius) came to visit me in Australia's National Capital Canberra. Three days went by fast, but while I had to study at daytime, they found time to see Canberra's museums and main tourist attractions. JP and his friends continued their 'tour of Australia' and hopefully we will have time to meet again before we leave Oz.

Being able to meet friends from Nippon Maru on the other side of the world reminds me how very fortunate I have been to be able to take part in the program and meet so many fantastic people.
