Alumni Gathering Oslo 2004

REN04 was the first time participants of the three Norwegian batches (SWY8, SWY12 and SWY16) were together, and after this program the REN04 Norwegian participants wanted to arrange an event for all members of SWYAA Norway.

As a first step in enhancing the SWYAA Norway spirit, everybody was invited to a party at Jo's (SWY12, REN04) apartment in Oslo on November 19th 2004.

Some of the Norwegian expys live abroad and the ones in Norway are scattered around the country, but participants of all three batches came to the party. Even Siri, (SWY12, REN01) who lives in the northern part of Norway, showed up.

Apart from exchanging SWY-stories and memories, we watched a dvd and pictures from SWY16 which brought back a lot of memories from the ship for all of us. Stig (SWY16) was inspired in Japan to get his own karaoke machine, and at the party everybody got a chance to sing their favourite songs.

In evaluation of the party the participants said that the party changed their attitude towards SWYAA Norway in a positive way. In addition, everybody liked the idea floated by the REN04 participants of having a SWYAA Norway weekend in 2005.
